   I am sure that using this plugins will help you to multiply traffic to your blog and I would suggest you adding Twitter field as it helps create a specific community around your blog. Hope you’ll be a success.

   I love the keywordluv plugin. As a webmaster myself, I think it is great to get quality keyword content from my readers.

    These 2 plugins do go very nicely together! I installed dofollow on one of my blogs awhile back and it certainly helped bring in more traffic. Only thing is it’s mostly webmasters looking for links…oh well, that’s OK if that’s your audience.

    Hi Josh,

    This is a good move, but one that needs careful consideration. I agree that adding dofollow to comments encourages comments, it also encourages return visitors and gets you some elevated fame. However, may I suggest that to help your site not suffer from Spam that you moderate comments and do not allow links to bad neighbourhoods or low pagerank sites (PR0). A little moderation will actually help you since google gives you rank points for linking out to quality and relevant sites.

    Yes, I have taken all of this into consideration. We are using askimet. This means we filter out all spam. I check every comment as it is posted so we let through very, very little spam comments.

    Hi Josh,

    I just wanted to post to thank you for being so kind as to allow dofollow links. I think that it takes a lot of respect for your readers and commenters to take on the (no doubt) increased amount of spam you’ll receive.

    I wish that more webmasters would be kind enough. A lot of webmasters install the KeywordLuv plugin, then make their sites nofollow due to the massive amount of spam they get. Askimet is meant to be one of the best filters though. I also notice that google seems to give priority to sites with lots of comments nowadays, so you might benefit from this too!

    Keywordluv is fantastic for getting more comments and this generating more content for your sites. I found it very useful on sites where I used it.

    Thats very interesting additions. This has been quite a voice over past few months that google may harm due to plenty of do-follow links but as yet i have seen blogs grown… so benefitial for both Thank you

    May I also suggest you look at a plugin that helps toward cutting out spam comments. I think it is called “scratch my back” or something like that. It only allows comments of 150 characters or more which discourages people from just writing “great post” etc without taking the time to read what you’re saying. Spammers often can’t be bothered to actually read the post and then write something meaningful.

    Hope you don’t mind me going a little off topic, but I was curious as to what extent you have found keywordluv has helped you get more comments…and if they are good comments or just thank you for the post type comments. I found when using this plugin I got a whole heap of “Thanks” type rubbish which didn’t add to my blog at all…it sure did get a lot more people making comments though!

    @Mike i had same issues on my blog but you know what i did? I learned them a lesson,I’ve installed do follow plugin that allow you to select after how many approved comments their links becomes do follow.Also i instantly delete garbage comments like “thank you”, “nice article” etc. We need to fight comment spam,do follow is a nice thing not a spam invitation.

    I can see your getting the odd spam comment because your using keywordluv. I feel your pain mate…using Bad Behavior and Akismet at least kills off the obvious spammers :p

    Josh, I am sure enabling keywordluv would have attracted some serious visitors to your blog who actually read what you have written and contribute something to the original post. Have you tried commentluv and topcommenter? Those two are really great plugins just like the keywordluv. I would be interested in knowing the effects. Thanks for sharing the luv.

    Glad you have joined the army of dofollowers and keywordluvers lol. It will help you get quality comments i think, and for the people that are saying that it attracts the spam, well i bet they get spam anyways from the bots and stuff… So to each its own, to us quality comments, and for them nofollow spam

    By the way, KeywordLuv is amazing. I use it on all of my blogs and it really does increase the amount of REAL comments from readers, as there is an incentive for them to post.

    Yes. Keywordluv and do follows are indeed helpful tools in increasing traffic. Moreover, you are able to get back links and read comments that are sensible. Hopefully people who make comments would really mean those remarks they made as is in relation to the post. Hence, these plug ins also increase the number of directories.
