Glype 2.0 Coming Soon
As Glype has recently been bought, the new owner, Jason has announced that Glype 2.0 will be released soon! Being new to using the Gylpe script and just working out how to use it (its really easy actually) I cant wait for the new release, 2.0! The current script is great, from what I’ve seen: its quick, uses relatively low bandwidth and has some cool features.
From what Jason has said in the new update there are going to be many “bugfixes and new features“. And there is also a small list of what is currently going to be i the new update, and it sounds very promising.
Ability to use openDNS for lookups
“Quickhide” button
Resurrection of the glype manager
Better support for ajax heavy sites / youtube / facebook / myspace / etc..
Better stats / usage info
These updates will be great and hopefully increase our profits! How? Well if there is a “Quick Hide” button, people will stay on our proxies longer, as they wont have to quit when a person walks in the room. This means more ad impressions/popups etc, increasing our profits! Also if they can use youtube & facebook etc they will browse for longer and again increase ad impressions!
Another interesting feature that I cant wait for is, “glype manager”. I have read up a little bit on this and it seams very interesting. It will allow for easy and quick customization of multiple proxies on a server from within one web script. I think this will be a definite must for all “glypemasters” in the future with more than 5 proxies!
Jason posted that they will have a release within two weeks on the 7th of April, so we should expect a download in about a week from now!
